The newly-crowned champions were given a stern warning about their complecency, as they were brought to the limit by a plucky Watford side, 4-3. Captain John Terry opened up the scoring after pouncing on the loose ball. Etienne Capoue would draw the sides level after taking advantage of a Terry miscue. Cesar Azpilicueta would retake the advantage with a shot from the edge of the box. Michy Batshuayi would score a sitter after a good passing sequence for the Blues. Daryl Janmaat would pull one back with an excellent individual run from the left side. Stefano Okaka would draw the sides level after taking advantage of some defensive miscues. Cesc Fabregas would score the final goal of the match with a volley from the edge of the box.

Chelsea Go 7 Points Clear

Chelsea follow up their finals clinching victory over the weekend with another 4-2 victory over Southampton. Eden Hazard opened up the scoring within the first 5 minutes to set the early tempo.. Former Chelsea signing Oriol Romeu would equalize for the Saints during a chaotic corner. Gary Cahill would steady the home side nerves with a towering header right before half time. Diego Costa would earn a second half brace to seal maximum points. Ryan Bertrand would get a measure of small revenge against his former club as scores Southampton’s second goal deep into injury time.

There was no miracle comeback for Bournemouth today as they succumb to defeat against league leaders Chelsea, 1-3. Chelsea opened up the scoring with an Adam Smith own goal after diverting an off target attempt from the out-of-sorts Diego Costa. Eden Hazard would then double the advantage with an excellent solo goal. Joshua King would pull one back for the Cheries right before half time with a shot from the edge of the box. Marcos Alonso would seal the victory for the Blues with an excellent curling free kick.

Chelsea took a massive stride towards a runaway Premier League title win with a hard fought victory over Stoke City at the Bet365. 2-1. In what was mostly a heated cagey affair, the match was decided on set pieces. Willian gave the league leaders the early lead with a well-taken free kick which managed to sneak its way past Lee Grant. Stoke would equalize later in the first half with a Jonathan Walters penalty after he was brought down by Gary Cahill in the box. Gary Cahill would score the winning goal through a late corner.

Chelsea are starting to see double after booking their semifinal spot in the FA Cup after defeating Manchester United, 1-0 at Stamford Bridge in a rather physical affair. The Red Devils paid the price for their approach as they were reduced to ten men after Ander Herrera got his second caution of the night within the first 35 minutes of the match. N’Golo Kante would score the only goal of the match with an effort from distance.
